Shows baggage-cost estimates where supported and flags selected booking providers on Google Flights. Not live quotes. Compare estimated baggage costs while browsing Google Flights. FlightTruth adds baggage-cost estimates to eligible flight results and shows notices when adding a fee could be misleading or duplicate Google's bag cost. These are estimates from stored data, not live airline or booking-site quotes. WHAT IT DOES • Choose Backpack, Carry-On or Checked Bag. • Shows an estimated total only when the supported result explicitly excludes your selected bag and usable fee data is available. • Shows a baggage-status notice instead of an added estimate when Google's price counts a bag cost, its bag filter is active, or bag inclusion is unclear. • Flags selected booking providers for additional review. These notices use a limited stored list, not a live or comprehensive provider assessment. IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS Support is limited to compatible English-language Google Flights layouts. Not every airline, route, fare, currency or baggage option has a usable estimate. Provider-specific baggage totals and price rankings are not shown on the booking options page. Fees can vary by itinerary, fare, bag allowance and booking date. An unavailable or zero estimate does not mean a bag is free or included. Downloading updated data does not mean each fee has been freshly verified. Always confirm the total price and baggage rules with the booking provider before paying. PRIVACY AND FEEDBACK IN THIS UPDATE Airline/agency checkout collection and in-extension fee reports are paused. Report controls display “Feedback paused.” This update no longer requests access to airline or booking-agency websites. Google Flights search/provider-click context and usage counts are stored locally; preferences use Chrome sync, subject to your browser settings. Fee-data downloads from GitHub continue and expose normal connection information to the host. This update does not delete historical records from earlier releases. See the privacy policy for details.
