Give the current tab a bright, numbered favicon so look-alike tabs are easy to spot. Tab Tint makes tabs from the same website easy to tell apart. Use the toolbar popup to change only the current tab's favicon: • Overlay an auto-incrementing number on the site's existing logo. • Add a high-contrast color frame while keeping the logo visible. • Replace the favicon with a custom letter or number. • Pick one of six solid numbered markers. • Restore the site's original favicon at any time. Tab Tint is deliberately temporary: reloading or navigating the page restores the site's own favicon. Privacy-first by design: • No background process. • No all-sites access. • No analytics, tracking, advertising, or network service. • The per-site badge counter is stored locally in the browser. Tab Tint requests activeTab and scripting only after you click its toolbar button, plus storage to remember local badge counters.
