Automatically switch your Google Meet virtual background based on the meeting title. Works with Gmail and Google Workspace. Pick Background switches your Google Meet virtual background for you, based on the meeting title. Client calls get the client's backdrop. Standups get your home studio. Interviews get something clean and simple. You set it up once and never open the background picker again. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a Google Meet link. On the preview screen, before you join, a small badge shows whether a rule matches this meeting. 2. No rule yet? Click "Create a rule". The pattern is pre-filled from the meeting title. Pick a background from Meet's own picker and save. 3. From then on, every meeting that matches gets that background automatically, before you join. WORKS WITH • Free @gmail.com accounts • Google Workspace accounts (work or school) • Meetings without a title, matched on the meeting code instead FEATURES • Match meetings whose title contains a word, starts with it, or matches a regular expression • A default background for meetings that don't match any rule • Uses the backgrounds already in Google Meet, including ones you uploaded • Rules sync across your devices • Manage every rule from the extension popup PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Meeting titles are matched inside your browser and never sent to our servers • We never see your video, audio, chat, or who's in the meeting • Your background images stay in Google Meet. We don't host or upload them.
