One-click import of last-year ITR, AIS, and Form 26AS from your Income Tax portal login into BharatTax. BharatTax Importer pulls your last-filed Income Tax Return JSON, Annual Information Statement (AIS), and Form 26AS directly from your incometax.gov.in and TRACES sessions into your BharatTax filing — replacing the manual download-and-upload step. WHAT IT DOES • Reads your last-year ITR JSON from the View Filed Returns page and sends it to your BharatTax draft for prefill of name, PAN, bank details, address, and carry-forward losses. • (Coming soon) Pulls your AIS from ais.insight.gov.in. • (Coming soon) Pulls Form 26AS from TRACES (contents.tdscpc.gov.in). HOW IT WORKS • You start the import from your BharatTax filing screen at itr.bharattax.co. • A new tab opens to the Income Tax e-filing portal. YOU log in using your own credentials (PAN, password, OTP). The extension never sees, touches, or stores your password or OTP. • Once logged in, the extension finds the most recent return on your View Filed Returns page and triggers the existing "Download JSON" button. • The JSON is sent back to your BharatTax filing tab. The extension does not retain copies, send data to third parties, or run in the background. PRIVACY • No credentials read, stored, or transmitted. • No analytics, no tracking. • Data flows: ITD portal -> your browser -> your own BharatTax filing tab.
