Description
Give the visible structure of the current page a subtle, reversible spring response to scrolling and clicks. Elastic Page adds a temporary motion layer to the page you choose to activate. Scroll velocity gives eligible headings, paragraphs, images, list items, figures and buttons a small amount of inertia. A click can add a short impulse, and four motion profiles—Soft, Rubber, Heavy and Loose—change the spring response without changing the underlying page layout. The extension is deliberately conservative. It ignores fixed and sticky interfaces, form fields, editable regions, media surfaces, SVG/canvas/iframe content, elements that already use transforms, and elements running CSS animations. Motion uses bounded CSS individual transform properties and is restored when the effect is paused or turned off. The engine is capped at 160 sampled surfaces so long pages remain bounded. Elastic Page runs only after you click its toolbar icon or use Alt+Shift+E. It does not run persistently, collect browsing history, save page data, use analytics, or make network requests. It also respects the operating system's reduced-motion preference by starting paused when reduced motion is requested.
