Adwisor helps Central Carolina Community College staff quickly find the correct academic advisor from a simple Chrome toolbar popup. With Adwisor, you can: - Look up advisors by student last name - Narrow results by campus (LMC, HMC, PMC, CMC, and more) - Search by program code or program name - Use program autocomplete for faster entry - View results instantly without leaving your current browser tab Designed for speed and daily workflow: - Lightweight popup interface - Simple settings panel for API URL and API key - Saves settings locally in your browser for convenience - Built for advisor lookup workflows used by CCCC teams How it works: 1. Open the Adwisor extension from the Chrome toolbar 2. Enter student last name (required) 3. Optionally add campus and program 4. Click Find Advisor to get matching advisor results Permissions and data: - storage: used to save extension settings (API URL and optional API key) in local Chrome storage - host permissions: used only to connect to the configured advisor API endpoints - Adwisor does not require broad browser permissions like tabs history or downloads Adwisor is intended for authorized institutional use and supports fast, consistent advisor lookup during registration and student support tasks.
