Replaces mentions of AI with a less self-important word. AI to Butt is a tiny text-replacement extension for people who need the modern web to take itself a little less seriously. By default, it replaces common AI phrases with butt, including: • AI • A.I. • artificial intelligence • generative AI • genAI • LLM • large language model • ML • machine learning Open the extension popup to manage rules. Each rule has target phrases and one or more replacement phrases, so you can keep the default behavior, add your own targets, and seed a rule with presets like beans, math soup, spicy autocomplete, or a confident intern. Rules are stored locally by default. If you want a rule to follow you across Chrome profiles, turn on Sync for that rule and use the sync budget meter to manage how many synced rules you keep. Rules can also be exported and imported as .aibutt.json files. The extension runs entirely in your browser. It does not collect data, use analytics, make network requests, or inject remote code.
