Undo the Google Maps renames: shows Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario again. One click on, one click off. MapUndo shows the original names for the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario on Google Maps. It works by asking Google's own servers for map data from a region that still uses the original names, in your language. Nothing is drawn over the map, nothing is injected into the page, and every label, search result, and place card stays consistent because it all comes from Google. - One toolbar button: click to turn on or off. Applies immediately. - Optional: force distance units to miles or kilometers (off by default, in Options). - No data collection. No analytics. No network requests of its own. The extension has no server; everything happens in your browser. Works on www.google.com/maps and maps.google.com. Not affiliated with Google.
