Highlight Chinese by HSK level on any page: word card on click, side panel, YouTube and Netflix subtitles, offline OCR. Kotoba Interactive: Chinese is the official extension of ChineseSRS (chinesesrs.com), the spaced repetition platform for learning Mandarin. It turns any web page into reading practice: the Chinese words you are learning are detected and highlighted by HSK level, with their pinyin and meaning, without ever taking you off the page. FEATURES • Chinese words highlighted with one colour per HSK level, the exact colours used on the site: a word seen in purple in an article is purple on its own page • Pinyin on hover, and the crutch fades away on its own as the word matures in your SRS • One click opens the word card: pinyin, HSK level, meaning, and one tap to send it to your SRS or to your queue • A side panel with four tabs: every word on the page sorted by frequency and filterable by level, a searchable dictionary, on screen text recognition, and video mode • YouTube and Netflix subtitles captured at the source: every word becomes clickable, and Alt+R replays the current line • Text recognition on any image or video frame with Alt+Q, running entirely on your own machine • Four keyboard shortcuts: Alt+K for the panel, Alt+H for the highlighting, Alt+Q to capture, Alt+R to replay the line • Right click menu: look a word up, open the panel, read the text in an image • The page itself is never modified: highlighting goes through the CSS Custom Highlight API, so the site's layout stays exactly as its author built it SYNCING WITH CHINESESRS.COM The extension is linked to your ChineseSRS account. A word added from a page lands in your reviews on the site, at the first stage, due right away. Your progress works the other way too: words already in your SRS are told apart from new ones on every page, and the panel shows how many reviews are waiting today. If you have hit your daily cap, the word goes to your queue instead of being lost. PRIVACY No browsing history is collected. The text, the address and the content of the pages you read never reach us: the dictionary is downloaded once, and words are segmented inside your browser. We receive one word at a time, the one you click. Text recognition runs entirely on your machine, using models shipped inside the package: no image goes anywhere, not even to us.
