Restores the pre-2026 Google Workspace icons (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar, etc.) — undoing the May 2026 gradient redesign. Google's May 2026 redesign replaced the multicolor Workspace icons with flat gradients. This extension reverts them — putting the pre-2026 icons back wherever they appear on the web. It works in: • Favicons (the icon on the browser tab) • The 9-dot Google app launcher • Inline icons inside Gmail, Drive, Docs, etc. • Chrome's new-tab shortcuts to Google apps • CSS background icons used by Google's apps How it works Two mechanisms cooperate so every icon gets caught: 1. Network rules redirect requests for Google's branded icon CDN paths (gstatic.com / favicons) to local SVG files bundled with the extension. 2. A small content script patches inline SVGs, <img> tags, and CSS backgrounds on Google domains, including anything injected at runtime. No data is collected. No network requests are made to any third party. All icons are bundled locally inside the extension. Apps that already shipped with gradient icons before 2026 (Maps, Photos, Home, the main Google "G", Gemini) are deliberately not touched.
