Learn languages with dual subtitles on YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV+ Kata turns the shows and videos you already watch into language practice. Turn on subtitles in the language you're learning, and Kata shows each line with its translation underneath, in the language you speak. Point at any word and the video pauses: a card shows what the word means, its part of speech and gender, and example sentences. One click saves it to your Kata vocabulary, together with the video it came from, and it comes back in your next review in the Kata app. Where it works • YouTube • Netflix • Prime Video • Disney+ • Apple TV+ What you need • A Kata account with Kata Pro. Sign up at kata-languages.com. • Subtitles in the language you're learning on the video you're watching. Kata teaches 21 languages. The extension itself speaks English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Ukrainian. Privacy Kata only runs on the five streaming sites above. To translate, the subtitle lines and the words you point at are sent to Kata's server. The extension shows no ads and does not follow you around the web. Usage statistics can be switched off in the pop-up.
