AI analyzes YouTube captions and automatically sets per-segment playback speed. SmartPace is a side panel extension that uses Anthropic Claude AI to analyze YouTube captions and automatically create a key-point summary and a per-segment playback-speed plan. Watch long videos faster, focused on what matters. ■ How it works 1. Open any YouTube video and click the SmartPace icon — the side panel opens. 2. Sign in with Google and click "Analyze" — no API key needed. (Free plan: 30/month, 5/day) 3. AI analyzes the captions and gives you two things: - Key summary: the gist of the video in a few lines — copy it to your notes with one click - Per-segment speed plan: the video split into 6~12 segments, classified by importance · Key (1.1~1.3×) — first appearance of important concepts · Normal (1.9~2.1×) — explanations, examples · Filler (up to 2.0×) — intros, outros, repetition, ads, small talk 4. As playback crosses segment boundaries, the speed switches automatically. ■ Playback modes (beyond simple speed-up) - All: play every segment at its own speed - Skip filler: skip the less important parts — ads, intros, repetition, small talk - Key only: play only the key segments and skip the rest - Click any row in the segment list to jump straight to that segment ■ Modes Pick the analysis tone that matches the content: - Lecture / Education / Documentary / Talk / Tutorial / News ■ Plans Free - 30 analyses per month / 5 per day - Up to 30 min: 1 analysis / 30–60 min: 2 / over 60 min: not analyzed Pro ($4.99/month) - 300 per month / 50 per day — more, with fewer limits ■ Sign in & privacy - Sign-in is handled by Google OAuth; we store only your email and analysis counts (for plan limits) - YouTube captions are sent to our backend (Claude AI) only to generate the summary and speed plan; they are not stored - Pro billing is handled by Lemonsqueezy (payment processor) - No ads, no tracking, no telemetry Privacy Policy: https://smartpace-privacy.netlify.app ■ Limitations - Playback is capped at 2.0×. - Videos without captions cannot be analyzed. - Some auto-generated captions may be unstable. ■ Contact meshugag@gmail.com
