Highlights the words under your cursor with a fading trail to support reading. Highlights text as you hover, with a fading trail behind your cursor. A simple reading aid to help you keep your place. Reading Trail helps you keep your place while reading. Move your cursor over any text and it lights up with a soft highlight that fades behind you as you go. Two modes: • Word trail — only the words you hover over are highlighted, fading out one by one • Text block — the full stretch of text behind your cursor stays highlighted, spaces included Customize it: • Trail length (how many characters stay highlighted before fading, 20–2000) • 6 color presets or your own custom colors • Optional two-color gradient along the fade Toggle it on and off with one click or with Alt+Shift+H. Privacy: Reading Trail collects no data. It never reads, stores, or transmits page content. Your settings are saved in your own Chrome profile. It doesn't modify the pages you visit — highlights are drawn by the browser and disappear when you turn it off.
