Add, remove, or append HTTP headers to requests and responses with URL-targeted rules. HeadShift is a lightweight HTTP header editor for Chromium browsers. Create URL-targeted rules to add, replace, append, or remove request and response headers. Use HeadShift for API development, local testing, debugging, QA, feature flags, cache testing, and other authorized development workflows. Features: • Modify request and eligible response headers • Set, append, or remove header values • Target rules using Chrome URL filters • Enable or pause individual rules • Pause all rules with one switch • View the active-rule count on the toolbar badge • Export and import rules as JSON • Store all rules locally in your browser HeadShift requires no account and includes no analytics or remote rules service. Your rules and header values remain in chrome.storage.local. Changes are applied through Chrome’s Manifest V3 Declarative Net Request API. Browser-protected headers and security mechanisms such as CORS, CSP, certificate validation, and mixed-content checks may still be restricted by Chromium. Use HeadShift only on applications and systems you own or are authorized to test.
