Find memory-heavy tabs behind Chrome Helper, sleep them without closing, and fix one broken site without affecting other logins. THIS EXTENSION IS FOR BETA TESTING. Chrome using too much memory? TabVitals helps you find which loaded tabs use the most RAM, identify recognizable tabs behind Google Chrome Helper (Renderer) memory where Chrome provides a reliable mapping, and sleep selected background tabs without closing them. Instead of killing an anonymous browser process or closing your whole workspace, use a local X-Ray to decide which background tabs can safely rest. WHAT TABVITALS CAN DO • Show memory-heavy loaded tabs in MB and GB where Chrome exposes the data. • Help connect available renderer-process memory to familiar tab names. • Sleep selected background tabs while keeping them in the same window and position. • Wake a sleeping tab normally when you return to it. • Keep active, pinned, audible and Always Awake tabs protected. • Fix the current website or fully reset only that site without clearing unrelated browser sessions. HONEST MEMORY READINGS Dedicated renderer memory is counted only for safe background candidates. JS-only readings are shown as a conservative lower bound with ≥. Shared renderer memory is not assigned in full to one tab. Chrome, extensions, GPU work and shared browser processes can also use memory, so results vary by session and computer. V0.4.6 has no account, payment, analytics SDK, remote backend or remotely hosted code. All features are free during the public beta. No registration is required.
