A cat wanders onto your screen and invites you to take a breather.🐈 Cat Break is a free Chrome focus extension / screen-time tool. It tracks how long you’re really on a site (only while that tab is active). When you hit your limit, a cat video pops in for a short break—then leaves. It’s a soft distraction blocker, not a hard lockout. Perfect if you want a website timer, social media limiter, or YouTube break reminder without harsh blocking. 🐈 Who it’s for 🐈 • You open social or video sites without thinking • You blink and way more time has passed than you meant • Normal notifications are too easy to ignore 🐈 How to get started 🐈 • Set a default browse window (e.g. 30 minutes) • Add tighter limits for specific sites under Settings • Exclude work/banking sites so the cat never appears there • Optional: only track sites you add to your list • Pick a cat video—or Random cat • Preview on any tab, then browse normally The clock only runs while the tab is active. Counts reset at midnight. When the cat appears, wait it out or shoo it away. If a video is playing (including YouTube), Cat Break tries to pause/mute it so the break sticks. Privacy No account.
