Hold a modifier key and click any link to copy its URL. SOC CopyLink lets you copy any link's URL without opening it — just hold a modifier key and click. HOW IT WORKS Hold your chosen modifier key (Alt by default) and click any link on a page. Instead of navigating to that link, the extension copies its full URL to your clipboard and shows a brief "Link copied" confirmation toast. FEATURES • Choose which modifier key triggers copy mode: Alt/Option, Ctrl/Control, Shift, or Cmd (Mac only) — combine multiple keys if you like • Works on any link on any website • Instant visual confirmation with a clean toast notification • Settings save automatically and sync across your signed-in Chrome browsers • No configuration required to get started — works out of the box with Alt+Click WHY USE IT Copying a link normally means right-click → Copy Link Address, or opening the link and copying the address bar. SOC CopyLink turns this into a single click, which is especially handy when you're gathering multiple links quickly (research, QA testing, writing documentation, etc.). PRIVACY SOC CopyLink does not collect, transmit, or sell any user data. It does not track browsing activity or link content. The only data stored is your modifier-key preference, saved locally via Chrome's built-in sync storage (chrome.storage.sync) tied to your own Google account — never sent to any external server. PERMISSIONS USED • storage — to remember your selected modifier key(s) across sessions and devices • Runs on all websites — required so the copy-on-click behavior works on any page you visit; the extension only reacts to clicks on links and never reads or sends page content elsewhere
