Free tool for marketers: track which sites get cited in Google AI Overviews and Perplexity, and get notified when yours shows up. Growzify AI Citation Tracker passively watches Google search results and Perplexity.ai as you browse normally, detects citations inside AI Overviews and Perplexity answers, and logs the domain, URL, your query, and citation position — all stored locally, no backend, no cost. It has three tabs: Feed — live log of every citation it's caught My Domains — add your site or a client's site; get a desktop notification + gold on-page highlight the moment it's cited Stats — total citations, unique domains, top-cited-domains leaderboard, plus one-click CSV export for client reports Why this scope: a real SERP-scraping tool needs a paid API to stay "free" for users, so instead it reads the DOM of pages the marketer is already viewing in their own browser — genuinely free, no infra to run, and it's exactly the kind of GEO/AI-visibility data you're already producing manually in the Growzify/SEI audits. Honesty on Google's side: I verified the Perplexity selectors live (data-pplx-citation-url — very stable). I could not get a live AI Overview to render in the sandboxed browser I have access to (Google gates it for non-authenticated/automated sessions), so that detector uses the documented heading+DOM-boundary heuristic real extensions use, with a fallback path — flagged clearly in the README as the one thing to revisit if Google reshuffles markup. Manifest, all JS, and icons are syntax-validated. To install: open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, click "Load unpacked," select the growzify-ai-citation-tracker folder — then just search Google or ask Perplexity something and watch the popup fill in.
