Open iPage on a page you choose and it rebuilds the important text in a focused side panel while keeping useful article links clickable. Page extraction, article display, language detection, Main-only filtering, word counts, and temporary article caching happen inside Chrome. The developer does not receive webpage content, browsing history, Gmail messages, Google Docs, PDFs, read-aloud text, or saved reading preferences. Translation runs only after the user selects Translate. iPage first uses Chrome's built-in Translator capability where available. If inline translation cannot start, iPage can open Google Translate with the current page address and target language. Read aloud uses Chrome's TTS API and Google voices installed or exposed by Chrome; Chrome or Google may process text when a remote voice is used. iPage works on ordinary HTTP and HTTPS pages where Chrome permits extensions. Chrome-protected pages such as the Chrome Web Store and chrome:// pages cannot be read. Scanned image-only PDFs require OCR, password-protected PDFs must be unlocked, local PDFs require Chrome's “Allow access to file URLs” setting, and Google Docs must permit text export. Content behind sign-in, a manual “load more” action, or a cross-origin frame may remain unavailable. Accessibility Assist is a user preference, not a certification switch. iPage uses WCAG 2.2-informed design practices, but it cannot certify or repair the accessibility compliance of third-party websites.
