Meeting cost tracker for Google Calendar & Meet. See how much every meeting costs in real time, per attendee, from salary rates. Burnmeter shows you how much every meeting costs, while it's still happening. Your team's most expensive recurring expense doesn't show up on any invoice. A weekly one-hour sync with eight people isn't a one-hour meeting; it's an eight-hour meeting. Burnmeter puts that number where you actually make the decision: inside Google Calendar and inside the call itself. IN GOOGLE CALENDAR • Open any event and see the meeting cost right in the popup — no tab switching, no separate dashboard. • Per-attendee cost breakdown, so you can see who the meeting is actually expensive for, not just one lump total. • Costs recalculate automatically when the time, duration, or attendee list changes. The number is never stale. • Attendees who aren't tracked yet are flagged, and you can add them from the side panel without leaving the event. IN GOOGLE MEET • A live cost counter sits in the Meet toolbar and ticks up in real time for as long as the call runs. • The side panel lists everyone in the call, showing who's being tracked and who isn't. • Add an untracked participant to your team mid-call in a few clicks — the running total updates immediately. • Meeting cost, attendee count, and hourly burn rate all in one place, live. HOW THE COST IS CALCULATED Burnmeter uses your team's real compensation, not guesses. Add employees with a monthly salary or an hourly rate, or set a default rate per role and let everyone in that role inherit it. Meeting cost is simply each attendee's hourly rate multiplied by the time they actually spend in the meeting, in your workspace's currency. WHO IT'S FOR • Engineering and product managers auditing standing meetings and sprint ceremonies • Founders and small team leads who need to protect focus time • People Ops and HR teams measuring meeting load across the org • Agencies and consultancies tracking internal time against billable work • Finance and operations leaders looking for costs that never hit a purchase order GETTING STARTED 1. Install the extension. 2. Sign in with your Burnmeter account — a free account works, no credit card required. 3. Add your team with their salaries or hourly rates. 4. Open any Google Calendar event or join a Google Meet call. The cost is already there. PERMISSIONS AND PRIVACY Burnmeter reads meeting details on the Google Calendar and Google Meet pages you open in order to calculate cost, and connects to your own Burnmeter workspace to look up your team's rates. Salary data stays in your workspace and is never shown to meeting participants — the cost you see is visible only to you, inside your browser. ABOUT BURNMETER The extension is part of Burnmeter, a meeting cost tracker for teams. The web dashboard adds meeting history, cost trends over time, a meeting cost calculator for planning ahead, budgets, and AI insights into where your team's time is going. Start free at burnmeter.app
