Hide YouTube recommendations and use YouTube with fewer distractions. YouTube Focus Mode turns YouTube into a calmer, search-first experience. With one switch, it hides recommendation feeds and other distracting surfaces while keeping the parts you intentionally use. When Focus Mode is enabled, it hides: • Homepage recommendation grids • Suggested and related videos on watch pages • Comments and end-screen recommendations • Shorts and recommendation shelves • Ambient glow effects, hover previews, and decorative loading animations Search results, subscriptions, channel pages, playlists, queue panels, descriptions, player controls, history, library, and Watch Later remain available. Focus Mode is on by default and can be toggled instantly from the extension popup. The extension makes no external network requests, collects no analytics, and stores only the on/off preference locally on your device.
