Discover a random sample of videos seen by other extension users. Your YouTube homepage can start to feel like the same few ideas repeating forever. Random YouTube Discovery adds a simple “Random discoveries” row near the top of YouTube. It is not another recommendation engine. It does not try to optimize your watch time, learn your personality, or slowly become a second algorithm. Instead, it shows a fresh random sample of public videos seen by other people using the extension. When your feed feels stale, press Randomize and get a different slice of the shared pool. Good for: - escaping repetitive homepage recommendations - finding strange, niche, funny, useful, or unexpected videos - browsing without turning discovery into another engagement algorithm - seeing what random corners of YouTube other people are running into What it adds: - a clearly labelled Random discoveries row on YouTube - one-click Randomize - Save, Hide, Block channel, and Report controls - simple filters for how random or filtered the row should feel - a delete-my-contributions option Privacy boundaries: The extension shares public YouTube video IDs visible on supported YouTube pages, plus rough page position, only for the shared discovery feature. It does not send your Google account, cookies, searches, comments, page HTML, watch history, or YouTube login information.
