Description
Automatically mutes videos on any website when a saved picture appears. PicMute lets you automatically mute unwanted parts of online videos. When the picture you want to block appears, pause the video and use PicMute to capture the current frame. The extension saves that picture and watches for it while the video plays. When PicMute recognizes the picture again, it mutes the video. The sound returns when the picture is no longer visible. You can: • Capture and save multiple pictures • Preview your saved pictures • Remove pictures you no longer want to match • Adjust how closely the video must match each picture • See which picture matched most recently • See how many times each picture has triggered muting • Check whether the current video is muted All picture matching happens locally in Firefox. PicMute does not upload or share your captured pictures or browsing data. PicMute works with standard video players in the visible browser tab. Some videos embedded through external frames may not be supported.
