At checkout, flags items that are dropshipped or cheaper at the source and links you to the direct seller. Know what you're really paying for — before you hit "Place order." A lot of trendy online stores don't make what they sell. They list a product, mark it up, and quietly order it from a supplier on AliExpress or a similar marketplace when you check out. You pay $65; the exact same item ships from the same warehouse for $9. Vigilante catches that moment. When you reach a checkout page, it quietly checks whether the item you're about to buy is available direct from its source. If it is, a small card appears in the corner — "Same item, sold direct" — with the source seller, the price including shipping, and how much you'd save. One tap opens the direct listing. That's it. How it works Activates on product, cart, and checkout pages. Sends the page URL and product barcode to our lookup service; all other page data stays local. It reads the product's public identity from the page (title, price, product code, image) and asks our lookup service whether a verified source listing exists. If there's a confident match, you get a card with the direct link and price. If there isn't, you see nothing — no noise, no false alarms. You decide. Buy direct to save, or stay with the store for faster shipping and easier returns. Vigilante just makes the choice visible. Honest by design We only show a savings number we can stand behind. If we can't confirm the source price is current, we drop the figure and just point you to the source — we never invent a number. Matches are confirmed by identity, not by keywords. A card only appears when the product code, source image, or listing genuinely lines up — not because two items share a word in their title. We tell you when it's a different seller.
