Inspect fonts and font resources used by Canvas 2D and selected page text. Canvas Font Inspector is a developer tool for inspecting text rendered with the HTML Canvas 2D API. Features: • Detect text drawn with fillText() and strokeText() • Inspect font family, font size, font weight, alignment, baseline, and Canvas coordinates • Hover over Canvas text to highlight its detected drawing area • Click Canvas text to pin the inspection panel • Find matching or candidate WOFF, WOFF2, TTF, OTF, and EOT font resources when available • Copy detected font resource URLs • Switch between English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese • Quickly enable or disable Canvas inspection Canvas Font Inspector is designed for developers, designers, QA engineers, and anyone who needs to investigate fonts used inside HTML Canvas elements. Unlike normal DOM text, Canvas text cannot be inspected directly through the Elements panel in Chrome DevTools. Canvas Font Inspector observes Canvas 2D text drawing calls and makes the relevant font information visible. Privacy Canvas inspection is performed locally in your browser. The extension does not send inspected Canvas text, browsing history, or font information to an external server. Limitations Text rendered using WebGL, converted into vector paths, or embedded directly inside images cannot be detected through Canvas 2D fillText() or strokeText() inspection.
