See community reports on suspected fake job postings and report ones you've encountered. You're applying to a LinkedIn job. Is anyone actually reading the applications? Is the posting real, or is it a fishing expedition? GhostJobs adds a small widget to LinkedIn job pages so you can see what other job-seekers have already reported about that exact posting. What the widget shows: • How many people applied to this posting and never heard back (with how long they've been waiting). • Structured warnings from other job-seekers — "reposted repeatedly," "role differed from posting," "suspicious recruiter behavior," "unpaid work / extensive take-home," "other." • Up/down votes on each warning so the most credible signals rise to the top. What you can contribute, in one click: • "I applied and got no response" — pick a wait-time bucket (1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 3+ months). • "Report this posting" — pick one or more structured reasons. No free-text comments. How it stays anonymous: • No signup. No email. No LinkedIn login. • On first run the extension generates a random ID locally in your browser and uses that as your identity to the GhostJobs server. You can reset it at any time from the popup, which disconnects you from your past reports. • We never read your LinkedIn cookies, browsing history, or anything outside the job page you're currently looking at. What we collect, in full: • The random ID described above. • The job title and company name as shown on the LinkedIn page. • The structured reason codes / wait-time bucket / vote value you submit. • Timestamps.
