ImageSnip reads what the browser actually downloaded, not what the markup claims, so the numbers match what your visitors really paid for. Each image shows its transfer size, its intrinsic dimensions against the size it's displayed at, its format, and its alt text. It flags the four things that quietly cost you: - Oversized — a 2400px file rendered in a 600px box. ImageSnip tells you how many kilobytes you'd get back by resizing it. - Heavy — anything over 200 KB, ranked so the worst offender is at the top. - Missing alt text — separated into no attribute at all versus a deliberately empty one, because those mean different things. - Legacy format — JPEGs and PNGs that would be smaller as WebP or AVIF. Filter to just the problems, click any image to see it full size with all its numbers beside it, or hit "Find on page" to jump straight to that element in the page.
