Search movies and TV from the address bar and jump straight to the exact IMDb page Getting to a film's IMDb page normally takes a search engine, a results page, and a click or two. This takes a few keystrokes in the address bar. Type imdb, press Space, then a title. Suggestions appear as you type, and picking one opens that exact IMDb page — nothing in between. How it works 1. Type imdb in the address bar 2. Press Space 3. Type a title — suggestions appear as you type 4. Pick one to open its IMDb page, or press Enter to search IMDb Alt+Enter opens the result in a new tab. What you get • Live suggestions as you type, straight from IMDb's own search service • Every row shows the title, year and type — Movie, TV Series, TV Mini-Series, TV Movie, Short • Picking a result lands on the exact IMDb page, with no redirect in between • Making-of featurettes and promo clips are filtered out, so they can't crowd out the film they were made for • Nothing to set up — no account, no sign-up, no API key Options Both are off by default and live in the toolbar popup, which shows a live preview of exactly what each one changes. Show cast in suggestions — adds the leading cast after the year. Useful when several results share a title; there are four different TV series simply called "The Office". Include actors and directors — people join the results and open their IMDb profile. Search "nolan" and you get Christopher Nolan, Jonathan Nolan and Nolan Gould, each with the credit they're best known for. Privacy • No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking of any kind • No account, no sign-in, no API key • Your searches are never stored or logged. Suggestions stay in memory for a few minutes so backspacing is instant, then they're gone • The only thing saved is your two on/off preferences • The only network requests go to IMDb's suggestion service, carrying nothing but your search text, sent without cookies and without a referrer Permissions • Storage — remembers the two on/off preferences • Access to IMDb's suggestion host — fetches the suggestions That's the whole list.
