HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the toolbar icon, press Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+E, or right-click the page and pick the menu item 2. Drag to select the area you want 3. Drag inside the selection to mark it 4. Press Cmd/Ctrl+C to copy, or Cmd/Ctrl+S to save as PNG On plain http:// pages the browser blocks clipboard access, so use Cmd/Ctrl+S there instead. THREE MARKS, NOTHING ELSE - Hide (1) - a solid opaque block. Mosaic and blur are not offered, because both can be reversed - Box (2) - an outline in one of five colors - Arrow (3) - points at what matters Drag an edge of the selection to grow or shrink it. Cmd/Ctrl+Z undoes the last mark. Esc cancels. PRIVACY Nothing is collected, and nothing is sent anywhere. There is no server, no analytics, no cloud sync, and no external fonts. The capture is processed inside the page and handed straight to your clipboard or your downloads folder. No storage permission is requested, so the extension keeps nothing after it closes. Redaction is applied before the file is produced, so the covered pixels are simply not in the result. They cannot be peeled back off. NO INSTALL WARNINGS The extension asks for activeTab, scripting and contextMenus. None of the three shows a warning at install time. clipboardWrite and downloads are deliberately not requested. WHAT IT DELIBERATELY DOES NOT DO - No full-page or scrolling capture. Other extensions already do that well - No text annotation - Marks cannot be moved or resized after drawing. Undo and draw again - No options page, no account, no sync KEYBOARD Default shortcut: Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+E to start a capture. Change or remove it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
