Edit PDFs locally: add text, images, signatures and markup, organize pages and export. No account or document uploads. FolioSprig is a lightweight workspace for editing local PDFs in your browser. Add text, mark up a page, insert an image or handwritten signature, then download a new PDF. Use FolioSprig in English or Simplified Chinese. The interface follows your browser language, with English as the fallback. Switch languages from the top bar at any time without losing your open document or edits. What you can do: - Add English or Chinese text and adjust size, color and weight. - Highlight areas, draw rectangles and add pen strokes. - Insert images and handwritten signature images. - Select, move, resize, duplicate or remove objects you added. - Visually replace detected, simple horizontal text. - Append PDFs, insert blank pages, reorder, rotate and remove pages. - Export a PDF or save a project to continue editing later. Local by design: No account, ads, analytics or cloud AI. The extension does not upload your documents to its developer. PDF libraries, fonts and the practice document are bundled, so the editor can work offline after installation. You choose the files to open and the downloads to save. Your original PDF is not automatically overwritten. Only your language preference is saved in browser local storage; documents are not stored there or uploaded. How editing works: “Select objects” works on content you added. To change detected original text, use “Replace original text”. Added text and markup are exported as graphics; added text is not searchable in other PDF readers. Original text on unaffected pages generally remains searchable. Pages containing original-text replacements are exported as full-page images. Those pages lose searchable/copyable text. Replacement is intended for simple horizontal text on plain backgrounds, without paragraph reflow or exact original-font matching. Check the exported page before sharing it. Handwritten signatures are images, not certificate-based digital signatures. This is not a certified redaction product. Scanned pages can receive new text or markup; OCR, encrypted PDFs, existing interactive forms, certificate-signed files and PDF-to-Word conversion are not supported. Limits: 50 MB per PDF and 200 pages per project. Project files include original documents, images and signatures and are not encrypted. Save a project before closing if you want to keep editing. Old .papermint projects remain supported; new projects use .foliosprig.
