A word guessing game with a golf theme 🏌️ About Birdie Wordie is a fresh twist on classic word-guessing games with a golf-themed scoring system. Solve the puzzle in: 2 moves → 🦅 Eagle 3 moves → 🐦 Birdie 4 moves → ⛳ Par And so on... Your game results contribute to a golf-style handicap, letting you track your long-term performance. The game's word lists are based on: 1. Valid Words: Derived from the TWL06 Scrabble dictionary 2. Solution Words: A curated list of common English words Offensive terms have been filtered from both dictionaries. 🎯How to Play Your goal is to guess the hidden word randomly selected from the solution set. You can input guesses using an on-screen or physical keyboard. All guesses must be valid words found in the TWL06 dictionary. When you submit a guess (via Enter or the Take Shot button), each letter is colored: Olive: Correct letter in the correct position Lemon: Correct letter in the wrong position Silver: Letter not in the word Red/Blue: Invalid word (not in dictionary) Use ⌫ or Backspace to delete letters one at a time. If a letter appears more than once in the target word, only the first matching position is counted unless the letter is in the correct spot. You win when all letters are olive! To start a new game, press Shift + Enter or tap New Game. 📊 Setting PAR Birdie Wordie features an AI solver (built using ChatGPT!) that attempts to solve each puzzle 10 times. The average number of moves becomes the par for that puzzle, ranging from 3 to 5. Don’t worry — the AI is efficient but not always clever. You can beat it. Each game shows one of the AI’s successful paths after you finish. 🎨 Images Birdie Wordie rewards your gameplay with Looney Tunes–style golf cartoons. Created using Bing AI Image Creator Edited with Photoshop and Paint.NET to fix oddities (extra limbs, poor ball placement, etc.) One especially bizarre image was left in the game as a surprise!
