Choose which sites open. Everything filtered is replaced by a blank page. Grove Web Filter lets a parent choose which sites open in Chrome. TWO MODES • Allowlist — only the sites you list open; everything else is replaced by a blank page. • Blocklist — only the sites you list are blank; everything else opens. The two lists are stored separately, so switching modes never turns a site you blocked into the only one allowed. ALLOW A SINGLE PAGE Paste a page's full address into the allowlist and only addresses that start with it open — not the whole site. This also holds inside single-page apps that change screens without reloading: leaving the allowed page lands on the blank page. CATEGORY PRESETS (Blocklist mode) Games, streaming and video, social networks, and AI companions and chatbots. Each preset holds the best-known domains for its category, not the whole category. WHAT A FILTERED PAGE SHOWS A plain blank page, or a short note saying the family's settings blocked it — with no way around it. ALWAYS ALLOWED Chrome and extension updates, Safe Browsing, certificate checks and Wi-Fi sign-in pages always work, so filtering never breaks the browser itself. PRIVACY No account, no server, no analytics, no ads. Your lists stay in Chrome's local storage on this computer — Chrome Sync is deliberately not used. Pages are matched by Chrome's built-in filtering engine. Privacy policy: https://yohangwak.com/en/app/grove/web-filter/privacy GOOD TO KNOW On its own, any extension can be switched off from chrome://extensions by whoever uses the computer. For a child's computer, install it through Chrome's managed policy on a standard (non-administrator) account; administrators can also set every option by policy.
rating_count is the Chrome Web Store ratings count, not a written-review count.
