Correct French, English, Spanish and Italian in any text field. Free, offline, no account. Korr corrects French, English, Spanish and Italian in any text field, without sending your text anywhere. WHY IT IS DIFFERENT Korr has no analysis server. The correction engines run inside your browser, so your text never leaves your device. This is not a promise you have to take on trust: the whole extension is under the GNU GPL 3.0 licence, and the store package asks for no access to your websites at all. WHAT IT DOES - Corrects spelling, grammar and agreement in French, English, Spanish and Italian - Works in any text field: webmail, chat, forms, content editors - Click the small button in the field, or press Alt + Shift + C - Works offline once loaded - No account, no sign-up, no usage limit, no paid tier FOUR LANGUAGES, FOUR DEDICATED ENGINES - French: Grammalecte, plus hundreds of hand-written rules for agreement, tenses, homophones and French typography - English: Harper, plus rules for compound tenses, common confusions and the word-for-word translations French speakers tend to write - Spanish: a Hunspell dictionary plus rules for diacritics, dequeismo, queismo and the opening marks that Spanish requires - Italian: hand-written rules for accents, the missing h of avere, elisions and the congiuntivo BUILT AROUND ONE PRINCIPLE Damaging a correct sentence costs far more than missing a mistake. Every rule is bounded: when it cannot decide, it corrects nothing. Over a thousand test cases guard that behaviour, and a good third of them are correct sentences that must come out untouched. PERMISSIONS Korr requests storage (your settings), activeTab (the field you are working in, only when you ask for a correction) and offscreen (where the engines run). It requests no access to your websites and no network access. An optional local connection can be granted later, and only if you choose an AI rewriting style.
