One click to send the current YouTube / TikTok / Instagram video to summarizevideototext.com for an AI summary. Summarize Video to Text puts an AI summary of the video right next to the video — in the YouTube sidebar, above the recommendations. No new tab, no copy-pasting a link somewhere else. WHAT YOU GET • Summary — the gist, key insights and topic tags, in the language of your browser. • Chapters — the video broken into sections with timestamps. Click any timestamp and the player jumps there. Useful on a two-hour talk you don't want to scrub. • Chat — ask anything about the video and get an answer grounded in what was actually said in it, not in what the model happens to know. HOW IT WORKS Open a YouTube video. The panel appears in the right sidebar. Click "Summarize this video" and the summary and chapters fill in. Chapters are clickable; the panel collapses if you want it out of the way, and stays collapsed until you open it again. Summaries work without an account. Chat requires connecting a free summarizevideototext.com account, because answers are generated per question. ON OTHER SITES Clicking the toolbar icon on a TikTok or Instagram video opens that video on summarizevideototext.com, where the same summary tools work. The embedded panel itself is YouTube-only. PRIVACY The extension talks to summarizevideototext.com and nothing else. No analytics, no third-party code. It reads the video's URL and title from the page and nothing more, and it runs on no site other than YouTube and summarizevideototext.com. Full policy: https://summarizevideototext.com/privacy
