Automatically sorts bookmarks dropped into an inbox folder into category folders, using an LLM (bring your own key). Sortera keeps your bookmarks tidy without you thinking about it. Pick one bookmark folder as your inbox. Whenever you save something there, Sortera asks an AI model what kind of page it is and moves it into a matching subfolder: recipes, read later, watch later, shopping, reference, dev & projects, and so on. You choose the categories and describe them in plain words. HOW IT WORKS • Bookmark a page into your inbox folder. A few seconds later it's filed. • When the model isn't sure, the bookmark stays put and shows up in the popup. Accept the suggestion, pick another folder, or keep it where it is. • Domain rules send sites straight to a folder with no AI call at all, e.g. chatgpt.com → "ai chats", instagram.com → "social posts". • Already have a pile of bookmarks? Classify everything in the inbox with one click. • Changed your categories? Recheck what's already sorted, every folder or just one. Bookmarks only move when the model is confident they belong somewhere else. BRING YOUR OWN MODEL • Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint such as Ollama or LM Studio running on your own machine. • You use your own API key. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no analytics, no servers of ours. Sortera talks only to the AI provider you pick. • Your API key is stored on this device only and is never synced. • By default the title, URL and a short text snippet of the page are sent to your provider. Turn off page fetching and only the title and URL are sent. • Pages are fetched without your cookies. Local links (localhost, IP addresses, .local/.lan hosts) are never fetched. • Open source: https://github.com/klppl/sortera
