Shows your X (Twitter) home-feed new-posts count on the toolbar, tab, favicon and app icon — even while you're on another tab. X New-Posts Badge shows the number of new posts waiting on your X (formerly Twitter) home timeline, so you can see it at a glance — even while you're on another tab or in another app. X only shows its "Show N posts" pill when you're looking at the tab. This extension keeps that number live in the background and puts it where you can actually see it, on up to four surfaces (each can be turned on or off independently): works in WPA (Open in app) as well: can show dock icon (macOS) / taskbar icon (Windows) • Toolbar badge — the count on the extension's icon, in any Chrome window. • Tab title — "(N)" at the start of the tab title (works in X's "Open in app" windows too). • Favicon — the number drawn on the tab's site icon. • App icon badge — the count on the installed-app dock icon (macOS) / taskbar icon (Windows). The count mirrors X's own "Show N posts" number exactly and clears to 0 when you view your new posts. Large counts show as 99+. By default the extension only refreshes while you're away from X (so it never gets in your way). An optional "keep refreshing while focused" setting (off by default) keeps the count climbing even while you're actively looking — see the settings for the trade-off. Privacy: no data is collected, stored, or transmitted. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts, no remote servers, and no network requests of its own — it only reads X's own home-timeline refresh, entirely on your device.
