Parental control extension that blocks all YouTube content by default and only allows whitelisted channels. TubeStopper is a password-protected parental control extension for YouTube. Blocks all content by default and only shows channels you've whitelisted. How it works: • All YouTube content is hidden until you as a parent add channels to the whitelist • Whitelisting one video from a channel whitelists ALL videos from that channel — no need to add one video at a time • Settings are locked behind a password — kids can only watch what their parents allow them to watch Features: • Blocks videos, Shorts, search results, and sidebar recommendations • Hides the left navigation sidebar (no browsing categories) • Pauses video playback on blocked watch pages • Works whether YouTube is logged in or not — no Google account required • No data collection — everything stays in your browser Password-protected features: • Quick-whitelist button for parents looking for suitable channels to whitelist • Import and export whitelist (JSON) • Manage Channels tab for bulk operations • Colour theme selector (11 themes) • Blocking toggle — quickly enable or disable filtering Privacy: • No data leaves your browser — everything is stored locally • No analytics, no tracking, no network requests • See our privacy policy: https://plektis.dev/privacy Currently works on Chrome and Chromium browsers (Edge, Brave).
