Convert WebP to JPG or HEIC to JPG locally in Chrome. Batch images or save web images without uploading files. Image Converter for Chrome converts images locally, without sending selected files to a conversion server. Use WebP to JPG for downloaded pictures or HEIC to JPG for phone photos. Choose your settings, preview the result and download a separate copy. Choose the format you need - WebP to JPG when a site or app does not accept WebP. - HEIC to JPG for compatible iPhone and camera photos. - WebP to PNG when you need transparency or lossless output. - HEIC to PNG when you need a PNG copy of a supported HEIC/HEIF file. - PNG to JPG for photos or workflows that require JPEG. - JPG to PNG when another app expects a PNG file. The extension performs real image conversion: it decodes the source, creates a new file in the selected format and verifies the generated result before reporting success. Changing the file extension alone is not treated as a conversion. Batch image converter Add several local files, choose one output format and process them as an ordered batch. The queue shows each file, its format, file size and status. Successful results stay available if another item fails, so you can retry only the files that need attention. Original files are not replaced. Web images You can also use the Chrome context menu on a supported webpage image. Choose Save image as JPG or the PNG action after selecting the image. If the site requires access, Chrome asks for permission for that origin after your action instead of granting permanent access to every website at installation. Output controls Adjust JPG quality and lossy WebP quality, choose lossless WebP, and select a background color when a transparent source is saved to JPG. PNG to JPG can use that background choice when transparency must be flattened, while JPG to PNG creates a PNG copy without changing the source. You can preview the result, compare file information and download the converted copy. If you need to convert image format again, start another conversion with different settings while keeping the original unchanged. Metadata and orientation For WebP to PNG, lossless output is available when you want to preserve transparency without JPEG compression. Metadata is removed by default. When Keep metadata is enabled, the extension preserves only compatible metadata blocks for supported source/output combinations. EXIF orientation is normalized when the pixels are rotated so the downloaded image is displayed correctly. Local processing and privacy Selected image bytes stay inside the extension during conversion. No account is required, and image content, filenames, page URLs and image metadata are not sent to our servers for advertising or analytics. Preferences needed for the workflow may be stored locally in Chrome. Photos and graphics for everyday use Use the WebP converter to prepare downloaded images for apps and websites. The HEIC converter turns HEIC/HEIF phone photos into copies you can use in documents and share with others. The JPG converter lets you choose a background color for transparent pictures. With the PNG converter, save graphics with transparency. Preview the result, compare it with your original and download the copies you need. Image Converter is focused on a small set of reliable image-format tasks rather than a long list of unrelated tools. The same workflow covers one file, a batch of files and selected images from supported webpages.
