Description
Floating image reference overlay for any webpage. Add layers, adjust opacity, pin, resize, and nudge. PlainRef lets you pin image references directly on top of any webpage you can think of, so you can reference artwork, screenshots, or designs, all without leaving the page you're on. Import images three ways: Upload from a file, paste a direct URL (e.g., Imgur), or Ctrl+V to paste directly from your clipboard. Layer system: Add up to 10 layers per browser tab, each independently visible, pinned, named, and reorderable. Layers persist for the lifetime of the tab, but are erased when it's closed or reloaded. Per-layer controls: • Resize freely by dragging any edge or corner handle (hold Shift to stretch without locking proportions) • Scroll the mouse wheel to adjust opacity on the fly • Drag the image to reposition it, or nudge pixel-by-pixel with Alt + Arrow keys • Rotate, scale, and set exact pixel dimensions and position through the properties panel Pin to lock layers, making them fully click-through so you can interact with the page beneath them without disturbing your reference. Keyboard shortcuts for everything: pin, hide, delete, navigate layers, and more. Dark and light mode, with a collapsible floating panel that snaps to screen edges and stays out of your way. PlainRef is completely session based, meaning no account or sign-up, no sync, and best of all, no data collection of any kind.
