Verify where an image comes from, right in your browser The on:mint extension shows you where an image comes from before you trust it. Right-click any image on the web, or click the extension icon, to check it for provenance records. What the extension checks: Content Credentials based on the C2PA standard: who created the image, when, and with what tool on:mint provenance records: is the image registered with on:mint and anchored on the blockchain? Fingerprint matching against the on:mint registry: registered content is recognized even when metadata has been stripped Machine-readable AI labeling: is the image marked as AI-generated (Article 50, EU AI Act)? The result is an honest finding. The extension shows what can be proven. A missing record does not mean an image is fake. It means its origin is unverified. Who it’s for: newsrooms, agencies, e-commerce teams, creators, and anyone who wants to know what they’re looking at. Privacy: verification starts with a hash comparison, no image is transferred at this stage. Only if there is no match in the on:mint registry is the image uploaded for further checks (AI detection, C2PA). It is processed in memory only, never written to disk, and removed immediately after the check. The extension does not read your browsing history. All processing takes place in the EU.
