Install and run alter/me/a/i while browsing so it quietly keeps an on-device copy of your browsing and your AI chats (Claude, ChatGPT, and more) — encrypted, local, yours. 2. Install and run the companion Vault app. Data is downloaded to your personal encrypted library that lives right on your own hard drive. And you hold the keys (a recovery kit means you never get locked out). 3. Run the setup wizard at my-alter.ai to mine download a local LLM of your choice or connect your AI provider, and mobilize your own data into private, personal digital avatars - or personas - that you train and control. License your personas and their abilities to whom you choose, based on your data, and on your terms & conditions, not theirs. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT On-device by default.
