Generate local TOTP 2FA codes in your browser. Google Authenticator 2FA is a local two-factor authentication (2FA) extension for your browser. It generates time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) on your device so you can sign in securely to websites and apps that require authenticator codes — such as Google, Microsoft, GitHub, and many other services that use standard TOTP. Unlike online 2FA tools, this extension keeps everything on your computer. Your secrets never leave the browser. There is no account sign-in, no cloud sync, and no network request needed to generate codes. Privacy-first by design Secrets are stored in your browser’s local storage only. Codes are calculated offline on your device using the standard TOTP algorithm. We do not upload your secrets, codes, backups, or browsing data to any server. What you can do Fast daily use View 6-digit or 8-digit verification codes in a clean account list See a 30-second countdown ring so you know when the next code will refresh Click any code to copy it instantly Switch between English and Simplified Chinese; your language choice is remembered Add accounts in multiple ways Scan a QR code on the current webpage Import a QR image from your computer Paste a QR image from the clipboard and add it as an account in one click Capture a QR code from your screen (system screenshot) Import many accounts at once from a TXT file (one otpauth://totp/... URI per line) Add an account manually with issuer, account name, Base32 secret, group, and note Organize and manage Create groups/folders for work, personal, or other categories See account counts on each group Edit account details, update notes, or delete accounts you no longer need Open an account’s QR code and save it as a PNG for backup or transfer to another authenticator Backup and restore Export a local JSON backup of your accounts and groups Import a previously exported JSON file to restore your list Compatibility Works with standard otpauth://totp QR codes used by Google Authenticator and most other TOTP apps (SHA-1, 6 or 8 digits, 30-second period). TXT import supports the same otpauth URI format, so you can move accounts from common authenticator exports more easily. Important privacy notes Codes are generated locally on your computer Exported JSON and TXT files may contain secrets in plain text — store backups securely and never share them Do not share screenshots or export files that include secrets Not included This extension does not include HOTP, cloud backup, a master-password vault, or website autofill. It focuses on one job: generating local TOTP codes quickly and privately.
