Display a clean revision history of Azure DevOps work items with inline and side-by-side diffs WorkItem Historian helps Azure DevOps users review how a work item changed over time. Select a work item ID on an Azure DevOps page, then launch the extension from the context menu to open a dedicated history view. Key functionality: Opens revision history for a selected Azure DevOps work item ID. Retrieves work item metadata and update history from Azure DevOps APIs. Shows field-level changes across revisions for important text fields such as Description, Acceptance Criteria, Repro Steps, Test Steps, and Tags. Supports two comparison modes: Inline diff view Side-by-side diff view Supports time filtering to show changes from the last X days. Highlights inserted and deleted content to make edits easy to understand. Works with both modern Azure DevOps organizations and legacy visualstudio.com-hosted organizations.
