Block distracting websites, pause impulsive browsing, and choose intentional, time-limited access. Private and local-first. Pause to Focus is a calm, private website blocker that helps you interrupt impulsive browsing and stay focused without turning productivity into a punishment. Block distracting websites and social media in one simple list. When you try to open a blocked site, Pause to Focus gives you a 10-second intentional pause before you can choose a clear reason and a limited access period. The countdown continues only while the blocking page is visible and focused, so switching tabs or apps resets the pause. Use Pause to Focus to reduce habitual scrolling, procrastination, endless recommendations, and unplanned visits while keeping intentional access available when you genuinely need it. Key features: - Block distracting websites and social media with one unified site list - Start with common distracting sites, plus paused regional suggestions based on the browser language - Add custom domains, labels, and optional blocking reasons - Use optional blocking schedules, including multiple periods and schedules that cross midnight - Complete a focused 10-second pause before temporary access - Unlock one site intentionally for 1 to 120 minutes - Pause all blocking temporarily with an automatic resume time - Use a 30-second cooldown before changes that reduce protection - Review local daily, weekly, and per-site usage statistics - Export local data as JSON or CSV - Use the extension in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, Italian, German, or Spanish - Follow the browser language automatically or choose a language manually Privacy first: Pause to Focus requires no account and contains no advertising, remote analytics, or telemetry. Site rules, reasons, temporary URLs, and usage statistics stay in the current browser. Browsing data is not uploaded to DittoCode or any other server. Why website access is required: You can add any domain to your personal block list, so the extension needs permission to match websites you choose. It also uses a local content script to display the remaining temporary-access time on matching pages. This processing happens locally in your browser. Pause first. Then choose how you want to use your attention.
