Progon — visual QA tool with overlay for bug tracking, test recording, and risk zone highlighting Progon is a visual QA tool for testers and developers who verify web applications by hand. WHAT IT DOES - Record test scenarios: capture your clicks, typing, selections, scrolls and navigations as reusable steps. - Replay scenarios: run recorded tests step by step and observe the result with a visual overlay. - Bug-tracking overlay: mark, highlight and review issues directly on the page you are testing. - Risk-zone highlighting: surface fragile or high-risk areas of the interface. - Network capture: record HTTP requests and responses during a test to validate API behaviour. - AI assistant (side panel): ask questions and get guidance while recording or analysing a page. HOW IT WORKS Progon runs on the pages you choose to test. It reads the page, captures your actions, and sends your test recordings, selected page elements, captured requests and screenshots to your Progon account so your work is saved and available across sessions and devices. You sign in with a Progon account; your data is tied to your projects. WHO IT IS FOR QA engineers, manual testers, and developers who need repeatable, documented checks of web applications. Note: Progon uses Chrome's debugger API to read the accessibility tree, capture network traffic, and monitor console errors. While it is active, Chrome shows a "Progon started debugging this browser" banner - this is expected and controlled by Chrome, not by the extension. A Progon account is required.
