Enhances Talon ETA schedule views and directly syncs flight events to Google Calendar. Better Talon offers two distinct calendar formatting modes depending on your role and what information you need at a glance: Student View: Optimized for flight students. Titles are concise and focus on what you are doing and who you are flying with (e.g., FLT w/ Smith (Unit 4)). This keeps your calendar clutter-free while giving you instant context for briefing preparation and instructor meets. Instructor View: Designed for CFIs and flight operations. Titles expand to include full course tracking and student identifiers (e.g., Private - FLT - John Doe). This makes it easy to track your daily teaching schedule across multiple students, courses, and checkrides. You can switch between these modes anytime via the Better Talon extension popup menu in your browser toolbar. HOW TO SYNC SCHEDULED EVENTS TO ICLOUD / APPLE CALENDAR Since Better Talon syncs events directly into Google Calendar via OAuth2, you can easily view your synced flights inside the Apple Calendar app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac by linking your Google account. ON IPHONE & IPAD: Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad. Scroll down and tap Calendar (or Accounts > Add Account on newer iOS versions). Tap Accounts, then tap Add Account. Select Google and sign in with the Google Account linked to Better Talon. Make sure the toggle next to Calendars is switched ON. Tap Save. Open the Apple Calendar app, tap Calendars at the bottom, and make sure your Google Calendar is checked. ON MAC (macOS): Open System Settings (or System Preferences). Click Internet Accounts in the sidebar. Click Add Account and select Google. Complete the login prompt for your Google Account. Turn ON the toggle for Calendars. Open the Calendar app on your Mac; your synced flight events will appear automatically.
