Particles, verbs, nouns, adjectives, adverbs, auxiliary verbs, conjunctions, and more — each gets its own color across every page you read. ★ Click-to-lookup sidebar. Tap any tinted word to see its dictionary definition (Jisho), reading, romaji, and example sentences (Tatoeba) — all in one place. No need to leave the page. ★ Sentence context. When you click a word inside a YouTube comment, the sidebar shows the whole sentence with your clicked word highlighted, plus a play button to hear it aloud. ★ Built-in audio. Click ▶ to hear any word or sentence read aloud. Uses your browser's built-in voice — no network calls, no API costs. ★ AI-powered vocabulary flashcards. Open the popup and tap "Vocabulary flashcards" to extract topic-specific words from whatever you're reading. PRIVACY Nihongo Tint does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. The extension stores a few preferences locally on your device and never sends them anywhere. Dictionary lookups go directly from your browser to Jisho's public API. AI features run entirely on-device using Chrome's Built-in AI — no servers involved.
