A calmer, dark-by-default inbox list for Gmail™, with hover-to-act shortcuts and a small settings page. Focused Mail makes the Gmail™ inbox list quieter and easier to scan. It restyles the message list in place with cleaner spacing, softer label pills, date sections, a small unread accent, and a dark theme — a calm, text-first inbox without leaving Gmail. No new mail client, no migration, no server. Hover a row and press a shortcut to archive, delete, mark read or unread, star, snooze, or select that message. The extension clicks Gmail's own visible controls, so archive and delete still use Gmail's normal undo flow. WHAT IT CHANGES • Calmer message list: no separator lines, one-line subjects, right-aligned dates, Gmail's labels turned into soft pills, an unread accent dot. • Date sections: Today / Yesterday / Last 7 days / Older headers, drawn on the existing rows — no row is inserted or reordered, so clicks always open the right message. • Hover-to-act shortcuts: e archive, Backspace delete, u read/unread, s star, b snooze, x select. All remappable. • Dark mode: a calm dark theme for the inbox list, on by default and switchable from the settings popup. • Settings popup: remap every key and toggle each behavior. Applied live. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • No network requests, no analytics, no remote code, no account access. • No changes to the sidebar, reading pane, search, or compose. • Settings live in chrome.storage.sync; nothing else is stored or sent. Section headers follow your browser language (English or French). Gmail's hover controls are matched in English and French UI languages.
