Watch YouTube through a retro CRT television and VHS deck. Turn desktop YouTube into a 1990s-inspired VHS deck and CRT television while keeping the official YouTube player and controls. VHStube gives YouTube watch, home, and search pages a complete retro video-deck interface. Visible recommendations and search results become labeled VHS cases in a tape rack. Select a tape to play it through the existing YouTube player. It processes visible video titles, channel names, links, the current YouTube page type, and the current YouTube URL locally to build its interface and navigate between videos. It stores only extension settings through Chrome storage. It does not send viewing activity, page content, credentials, video, or audio to the developer or any third party. VHStube is free. The popup contains an optional Ko-fi support link, but support does not unlock features. VHStube is an independent extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
