Hide sensitive information on any page, then copy a clean screenshot. Everything stays on your device. Redact & Snap hides sensitive information on a web page so you can share a screenshot of it safely. Press "Redact this page" and the extension covers the things you would not want in a screenshot: form fields, profile pictures, email addresses, phone numbers, card numbers, IBANs and API keys. Card numbers and IBANs are verified against their own checksums rather than matched by shape, so prices, dates, version numbers and order references stay readable. A small toolbar appears on the page itself. It reports how many areas were covered and what kind of data each one was, so you can see what was found before you share anything. Anything it misses, you can cover yourself. Drag a box over any part of the page, or click elements one at a time and use the arrow keys to widen the selection from a single value to a whole row. Hold the Peek button to look straight through every redaction and check that you covered the right things. When the page looks right, press Copy. The screenshot goes to your clipboard ready to paste, or you can save it as a PNG file. The toolbar itself never appears in the image. Everything happens on your device. The extension has no network permissions and makes no network requests, so no page content and no screenshot is ever uploaded. It asks for access only to the tab you open it on, rather than to every site you visit. Redactions can be drawn as solid black, solid blue or a blur. Keyboard shortcuts cover redacting and capturing, and undo and redo work the way you expect.
